Maths tuition with us

All our lessons focus on supporting your child to be confident in maths, so they can make amazing progress and enjoy their learning.

Knowing Your Child

All children are different and as a parent, you know your child best, so the first thing I always do, is to have a chat with you.

After each lesson, you'll receive feedback on how the learning went and you can ask any questions.

Barriers to Learning

Sometimes the gaps in a child’s knowledge and skills are not always obvious, or there may be something else that’s holding them back. That’s OK. We have plenty of experience identifying where children are at and what they need to do next to make progress. This could be:

  • Lack of confidence/low self-esteem.
  • Panicking during tests and assessments.
  • Self-pressure or external pressure (not feeling good enough)
  • Needing an extra explanation to help their learning.
  • Specific learning difficulties associated with conditions such as autism, ADHD or dyslexia, eg. struggling to focus or sit still, language processing difficulties or needing instructions to be simplified.
  • Key skills missing, eg. struggling with mental arithmetic.
  • Reluctance to try something, in case they get it wrong.

Confidence, Progress, Enjoyment

I’ve always been a strong believer in using physical resources and pictures to support understanding, and we continue to do this as online tutors, with fantastic success.

When your child's mental maths skills and strategies develop, their confidence will soar, they make amazing progress and enjoy maths more.

Lindsey is in tune with the needs of my daughter. She completely tailored the lessons to suit the things she needed to cover, in a way that suited my daughter's learning style. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lindsey and have already!

Is online tuition right for my child?

Our online tuition is definitely NOT the same as lockdown online learning.

In our online sessions, your child will get personalised 1:1 or small group support at the level and pace that is right for them. The focus of lessons will be exactly targeted at the areas your child needs most.

We use resources and methods that engage, motivate and develop confidence.

Contact me for a chat to see how our online learning works.

I was rather dubious about online learning, however Lindsey is engaging and the lessons are extremely tailored  around H's needs. Lindsey always asks about H's week and what she’s  found difficult at school,  Lindsey then adapts the session accordingly. H finds every lesson vital and fun and enjoys her 1:1 time
